Night of the Museums on August 16, 2017
On Wednesday, August 16, 2017, in conjunction with the mid-summer festivities for the patron saint Sant’Agata, the Municipality of Catania organized the third edition of the ‘Night of the Museums’. The main sites and archaeological museums will be open to the public from 19.00 to free use or reduced fee.
Free use: Palace of Culture (Via Vittorio Emanuele 121), Church of San Nicolò Arena (free church entrance).
For a fee: Palace of Culture – Exhibition Escher (Via Vittorio Emanuele 121), Bellinian Museum and Emilio Greco Piazza S. Francesco d’Assisi, 3, San Nicolò l’Arena Church (gutter path and guided tours of the church), Badia di Sant’Agata alla Fornace, Piazza Stesicoro, Sant’Agata la Vetere Church, Sant’Agata at the Fornace, Piazza Sant’Agata, Via Sant’Agata (Via Vittorio Emanuele 184), Achilliane Baths (Piazza Duomo), Chiesa e Cripta di S. Gaetano alle Grotte, Sanctuary Sant’Agata at the Prison, Basilica Sanctuary Parish Maria SS. Annunziata at the Carmine, Piazza Carlo Alberto (fera o luni), San Giuliano Church, Via Crociferi, Monastery of the Benedictines, Lamberto Puggelli Foundation (University Square, 13), Crypt of S. Euplio.
